The Atlanta Trophy

The Trophy

The BASA Awards were formed in 2019, and the founders met in Atlanta for the annual meeting and goal setting. One of the key agenda items discussed during the meeting was the trophy to honor the winners. They agreed that the BASA winner should be awarded a grand trophy, aimed at inspiring small business owners to participate in the awards and maintain their commitment to business excellence. Renowned sculptor, Ithaca, was then commissioned to create the trophy, depicting a woman reaching beyond her limits to touch the stars (per aspera ad astra).

The Atlanta

The 11 ½ inches tall and 1.1 pounds trophy is a sculpture of a woman using all her strength to reach the stars. The trophy symbolizes the challenges and perseverance that small businesses encounter before establishing themselves in the business arena. Named Atlanta, named after the city in which it was founded and inspired by the story of the Greek Goddess, the trophy embodies the spirit of courage just like the Goddess, who was a human huntress, representing the tenacity of small businesses in pursuing clients and achieving success.
