BUILD A BETTER TRADE SHOW IMAGE WEEK

Observed every third week of February, the Build a Better Trade Show Image Week will be observed this year on February 12 to 18. Its objective is self-explanatory. Build a Better Trade Show was founded by Marlys Arnold, who possesses an elaborate experience in organizing, attending, and participating in trade shows. Marlys believes that since participants in shows lack the required understanding and execution, the potential in trade shows often goes untapped. Trade shows greatly benefit business-to-business (B2B) organizations because they offer an opportunity for businesses to expand their market base by involving prospective customers in a way other platforms do not. However, for it to succeed, it requires proper strategy and execution.

HISTORY OF BUILD A BETTER TRADE SHOW IMAGE WEEK

In olden traditions, caravan paths developed as traders traveled through various communities regularly as they sold their commodities and items at the local towns. Hence these local town centers became a center of culture and information; hence it is safe to say that trade has been a principal part of our civilization.

Some of these market centers were permanent, where traders sold their merchandise in settled areas during the day or by using movable carts which were taken back to be kept safely. Other markets were seasonal in that they only existed periodically. In modern culture, bazaars are equivalent to shopping complexes, also called malls.

Every time there is a need for trade and investment between businesses, trade shows provide this environment. These trade shows have particular themes or areas of interest which promote trade between one company and another, sharing interests even though the most critical decider is the list of guests. In these trade shows, vendors seek to create leads and close sales on those leads. It is of more benefit to the participants in these shows if the attendance list is larger and better.
