The Atlanta Trophy

The Trophy

The BASA Awards were established in 2019, and the founders met in Atlanta for the annual meeting and goal setting agenda. Among the topics discussed in the annual meeting was the design of a trophy to honor the winners. They agreed that the BASA winner would be awarded a majestic trophy that would inspire small business owners to participate in the awards and continue to strive for business excellence. A renowned sculptor, Ithaca, was then commissioned to design a trophy, depicting a woman reaching above her potential to touch the stars (per aspera ad astra).

The Atlanta

Named ‘Atlanta’, the trophy stands 11 ½ inches tall and weighs 1.1 pounds. It portrays a woman using all her strength to reach the stars, symbolizing the challenges and perseverance small businesses face before establishing themselves in the business field. The trophy's name is “Atlanta” pays homage to the city in which the awards were founded and reflects the story of the Greek Goddess, a human huntress, symbolizing the courage of small businesses in their pursuit for clients and success.
