What is BES Solutions Inc.?
BES Solutions Inc. is a mission-focused organization that provides complete management support services for clients across the U.S. The core of our work is Solving problems—both known issues and those yet undiscovered.
What do achievements mean to you?
For me, success and achievement are all about relationships. I believe that we all have a responsibility to strive for our own success and share our knowledge and strategies with our community. Achieving recognition like the BASA Awards reinforces my commitment to continue building relationships, sharing knowledge, and striving for excellence in everything I do, both personally and professionally.
Do you have a motto that you live by?
“Honesty invites honesty. Share openly.”
As I was coming up in my career, I didn’t have the same luxury of mentorship as many of my peers. I want to change that for my community and I believe that starts with being honest. When I approach people to build my network, I often share something that other people would find embarrassing or something to be kept a secret. I will talk directly about money and about not having capital when I started my business. When I open up, they tend to open up.
Recent successes?
In addition to my two BASA Award wins this year – Best Startup and Best Website – I was inducted into The BOW Collective, an organization and sisterhood of the Nation's top 1% of Black Women-owned small businesses. For my contributions to her local business community, I was honored with the Mirinda Jackson Minority Business of the Year award at the Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce 2024 Excellence in Business Awards. I was recently accepted into the Milestone Circles program at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center.
When it’s all over, how do you want to be remembered?
As a mother of five and wife of 33 years, legacy has many meanings for me. More than anything, I want my children and grandchildren to know that my journey wasn’t just about achieving personal success—it was about building something that lasts—a legacy of resilience, determination, and generational wealth—something they can be proud of.
"Staying connected to my ‘why’ - the reason I started this journey - is crucial, especially on tough days."
