The Atlanta Trophy

The Trophy

The Atlanta Trophy was created as a distinctive symbol of small business achievement, representing the ambition, resilience, and determination behind entrepreneurial success.

Named Atlanta, the trophy celebrates the journey of entrepreneurs who push beyond expectations and strive for something greater. Renowned Italian sculptor Ithaca was commissioned to create a stylized figure of a woman reaching above her potential to touch the stars — per aspera ad astra (through hardship to the stars) — embodying the determination and pursuit of excellence represented by every BASA winner.

The Atlanta

The 11 ½ inches tall and 1.1 pounds trophy is a sculpture of a woman using all her strength to reach the stars. The trophy illustrates the hardships and hard work the small business faces before gaining a stronghold in the business field. The trophy's name is Atlanta, named after the city in which it was founded and the Greek Goddess’s story. The Goddess was a human huntress, symbolizing the small business's courage in hunting for clients and success in business.
